- Phaedra Parks is in a safe position in the game but may face suspicion from others, putting her at risk of being banished.
- Parvati Shallow is in a dangerous position as many of the Faithful suspect she is a Traitor, and she needs to improve her game strategy.
- Peter Weber declined an offer to join the Traitors, but his safety is shielded for now due to the safety chain twist.
The Traitors US season 2 episode 7 introduced a safety chain twist that changed the game entirely, making it more difficult than ever for the Traitors to decide who they can murder next. For Traitors Phaedra Parks, of Married To Medicine and The Real Housewives Of Atlanta fame, and Parvati Shallow, who dominated Survivor for a time, things have been tricky since last week’s banishment. Losing Big Brother’s Dan Gheesling may have been necessary for the remaining Traitors, but it didn’t make their jobs easier in the game. Parvati and Phaedra attempted to recruit Peter Weber from The Bachelor to their team, but he shockingly chose to turn them down.
With Phaedra and Parvati left to their own devices, the Traitors team is down to just two people and has never been more fragile. While Parvati and Phaedra did their best in the mission of the day, the pair were also aware that their actions were being watched after the accusatory round table the night prior. When The Traitors US season 2 were met with an alternate safety ceremony in the safety chain, things got even tougher for the Traitors. With their pool having shrunk down entirely, who will they choose to murder in the next episode?
20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now
Television is being impacted by the ongoing entertainment industry strikes, leaving many turning to reality TV. What are the best shows right now?
As a Traitor, Phaedra can’t be murdered by a member of her team. While she’s not in imminent danger in the game, it’s possible that the suspicion on Phaedra could push others to believe she’s a Traitor and banish her from the game. Phaedra is one of the best spots in the game at the moment, with allies throughout the group of Faithful who are happy to look out for her and keep her safe in the game. After being saved in the safety chain twist, Phaedra’s position in the house should be an alarm bell for the Faithful, but it appears they’re all mystified by her charm.
Although Parvati is a Traitor who can’t be murdered, she’s in one of the most dangerous, precarious positions in the game. Parvati is one of the best reality TV competition strategists of the modern era, but her time on The Traitors US season 2 has proven difficult for the one-time black widow on Survivor. Parvati has found herself in a sticky situation where many of the Faithful have suspicions she’s a Traitor, and she’s having difficulty rebuffing the allegations. While Phaedra and Parvati have been trying to work together more successfully, Parvati has a lot of work to do to put her game in a better spot.
After The Traitors US season 2 episode 6, it felt almost certain that Peter would accept Parvati and Phaedra’s invitation to become a Traitor an join them in the turret. While Peter would’ve made an interesting Traitor, he ultimately chose to pass up the offer, knowing it could get him murdered in the game if he wasn’t careful. Peter decided not to accept the offer, but kept the fact that he’d been recruited to himself during the day. While Peter would be one of the most likely to be murdered, he was shielded during the chain of safety twists and can’t be murdered this week.
Chris “C.T.” Tamburello
The complete opposite of Shereé, Chris “C.T.” Tamburello has been the best Faithful in the game without question. His bond with Phaedra has likely kept him safe, in part, throughout the more difficult times in the game. While C.T. has enough suspicion on him to make him a bit concerning, it’s not enough to take him out of the game. With his athleticism and strategic skills winning the team money, C.T. has been helpful to both the Traitors and the Faithful, meaning he’s the least likely to get murdered. C.T. has also been shielded from murder by the safety chain.
After weeks of being the most diligent Faithful in the game, The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’s Shereé Whitfield was once again protected in the game. Close friends with Phaedra, Shereé’s murder has been off the table for a number of weeks. Despite not having much sense in the game and working hard to keep her name clear while throwing votes to people who are clearly not the house target, Shereé hasn’t been the best Faithful in the game. This is a great quality for the Traitors, and even if she hadn’t been saved by the safety chain twist, she wouldn’t have been murdered.
Although Faithful Kevin Kreider has some suspicion on him as well, his time on The Traitors US season 2 has been interesting. Kevin’s gotten several votes at the round table for his behavior on the series, and while he’s been able to refute many of the votes he’s received, it’s been clear that he’s on people’s minds. For the Traitors, keeping Kevin in the game allows them to have someone in the round table whose name they can bring up if they’re ever feeling the heat, so murdering him wouldn’t be the best idea. Kevin has also been saved by the safety chain, and can’t be murdered.
While Sandra Diaz-Twine and Parvati have some issues from their past time on Survivor, it’s clear that they’ve been able to squash their beef on The Traitors US season 2. Though their relationship may not be something that’s built to last, the women have been able to get along on the new series. Many wonder if Sandra is aware Parvati is a Traitor in the game, though she has yet to call her out at a round table. Faithful Sandra isn’t likely for the Traitors to murder, as it could easily be traced back to Parvati. Sandra is also safe due to the twist and is ineligible for murder.
After the chain of safety, John Bercow is another Faithful who has been saved by the twist and is ineligible to be murdered. While John has been working hard to prove he’s a Faithful in the game, it’s clear that he has some suspicion on him at the round table. Without many strong alliances, John would be an easy target for the Traitors to murder if he was eligible. Though he has some suspicion, his murder would cause confusion and make it easier for the Traitors to throw suspicion on someone else.
Mercedes “MJ” Javid
Mercedes “MJ” Javid has made her way through the game cautiously, first hiding behind the women of The Real Housewives franchise. The Shahs Of Sunset star has been working diligently to be a useful Faithful, but her skills are more limited than some of her other castmates. Still, MJ has been able to be a good Faithful overall. Murdering MJ could make sense, because she’s well-connected in the game, but it could also cause more harm than it’s worth. As one of the contestants eligible for murder, MJ is unlikely to be taken out of the competition so late.
Although she may have been higher on the list in terms of safety prior to the safety chain twist, things changed for Trishelle Cannatella. Hopeful she’d be able to depend on her castmate C.T., Trishelle found herself vulnerable at the end of the safety chain twist She wasn’t happy that C.T. didn’t choose her for safety despite having the option to do so, finding anyone in the castle she could to discuss his betrayal with. Trishelle causing drama could be good for the Traitors, who may choose to murder her next due to her proximity to one of the largest alliances in the game.
As one of the only Faithful eligible for murder, it’s very possible that Kate Chastain could be the next person murdered on The Traitors US season 2. As a late addition, the Below Deck star has only been in the game for a couple of episodes, but she’s already made quite a name for herself among the rest of the cast. With her no-nonsense attitude, Kate tells it like it is, which can be dangerous for the Traitors as they’re attempting to fly under the radar. Kate’s murder would cause confusion and take her large opinions out of the game.
Carsten “Bergie” Bergersen
As Peter’s closest confidant in the game, it feels likely that the next person murdered on The Traitors US season 2 will be Love Island USA season 5’s Carsten “Bergie” Bergersen. While Bergie has been a wonderful Faithful throughout the game, everyone in the castle is aware that Bergie is a Faithful, which is bad for the Traitors. As Bergie will never get banished from the castle for their behavior, the Traitors of The Traitors US season 2 may have to take matters into their own hands and make the call to murder Bergie on the next episode of the series.
The Traitors US
season 2 airs Thursdays on Peacock at 9 p.m. EST.
